Crochet your own little handbag with our popular ribbon yarn Alma! The handbag is equipped with our super cute heart-shaped carabiner rings that secure the handle in place. The carabiner opening also makes it easy to switch to a longer shoulder strap for variety.

  • Sl St - Slip stitch
  • Sl K - Slip knot
  • Ch - Chain stitch
  • Inc - Increase (2 SC in same St)
  • BLO - Back loop only

Bag:

Note: The bag will be crocheted in rows. Make 1 Ch and turn your work after each row. This Ch is a turning chain that helps to gain height for the new row; this St is not counted as a St in the row.

R1. Make a Sl K and then 23 Ch (23)

R2. Start crocheting in the 2nd St from the hook, 22 SC (22)

R3-18. Crochet in BLO only ⭢ 22 SC (22)

Fold the work in half and crochet the 2 sides together with 11 SC from the opening down to the edge of the bag. Cut the yarn and finish the work. Then make a Sl K and attach the thread to the bottom of the other edge of the bag. Then crochet the sides together with 11 SC from the edge up to the opening of the bag, do not finish the work. Then continue to crochet SC around the entire opening of the bag until you return to the beginning. Then make a Sl St in the first SC crocheted around the edge. Finish the work and securely fasten all ends.

Make a Sl K and then 2 Ch. Then make 1 SC in the first Ch of the chain. Then turn your work and make 1 SC in the back of the previous SC. Repeat this until you have a total of 40 SC on the strap. Then finish the work and securely fasten all threads.

Details:

Attach a carabiner ring to each end of the strap. Then attach the carabiner ends to each edge of the bag.

Then use needle and thread to sew a magnetic button in the middle of the bag's opening.
